Jay Peña, Student Intern: CBT, DBT, & EFT

Jay Peña is currently enrolled in the Master's in Professional Counseling program at Seton Hall University, where he has completed two years of coursework in excellent academic standing.

Jay's firsthand experience with therapy led him to develop a passion for nurturing mental health, and he left a successful career in corporate information technology to help others. He is an advocate for mental health treatment; directly confronting stigma; and reframing seeking mental health support as an act of strength and responsibility.

Jay aims to create a safe, compassionate, judgment-free space for his clients. He believes every person holds the key to unlocking their version of a life worth living, and sees his role as a beacon through their inner storm. Jay receives supervision from Aayesha Alvi, LPC.

Jay sees clients via telehealth, or in person in Highland Park, NJ.
