Sara Ben-Zvi, PsyD, Clinician: CBT & EFT

Sara Ben-Zvi, PsyD, received her doctoral degree from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University. 


Sara practices primarily from within a cognitive-behavioral perspective and specializes in providing evidence-based treatments across the lifespan, including cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) and sleep-wake disorders, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. Sara has received extensive training in differential diagnosis and believes assessment is foundational to effective treatment. 


Sara strives to create a genuine space that allows for both change and acceptance in supporting her clients along the paths towards their goals. She sees teens and adults for individual therapy and provides parenting support for parents of younger children with ADHD, anxiety and/or behavior challenges. She is supervised by Jeremy Lichtman, PsyD, and Simi Lichtman, LCSW.


Sara sees clients via telehealth and in-person in Brooklyn, NY.
